Solo Jazz with a focus on you.
This year at Spring Jam (formerly June Jam) our partnered classes will focus on the perspective of the Follower (on Saturday) and the Leader (on Sunday) with Solo Jazz classes each day as well.
As a student, you will take all of the classes, giving you a better perspective on your role, your partner's role, and your own movement. This year we have a new venue, more teachers, and more perspectives to share!
Registration opens January 12th, 2026!
His love of both leading and following, combined with his professional background in education, makes the classes that Anthony teaches both clear and intuitive. He is here to share his ideas on leading and partnering to make each dance as good as it can be.

Irina's goal is to inspire students to value the foundations and culture of these dances while also celebrating individuality, expression, and confidence through movement. We are so excited for her to share her unique take on following this weekend.
With over 20 years of experience, Peter will be sharing his perspective on leading and how to get the most from, and give the most to your partner. He and Naomi and are running this weekend together.
Naomi's unique style and grace has won her several awards as a solo dancer as well as with a partner. She has shared her knowledge with dancers worldwide for 20+ years. She also leads her band Naomi & Her Handsome Devils.

Ursula Hicks began her dance training over 20 years ago in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, and later Modern and Contemporary dance and graduated with B.A. in Dance Studies in 2013. But beyond her skill, her musicality and personality come through with every step she takes and we are excited for her to share her dancing this weekend!

There will be three levels at the event - Int/Adv, Advanced, and Advanced Plus.
Attendees who want to be in the Advanced Plus level are welcome to attend the audition Saturday morning at 11am. We will place people in the best groups for them based on their Solo Jazz AND partnered dancing. Each student will have only 1 level for the weekend.
The partnered classes will focus on the follower's role on Saturday and the leaders role on Sunday but both leaders and followers will take ALL of the classes, Lindy Hop and Solo Jazz.
If the pass you are registering for is sold out, you can still register but you will be placed on a waitlist. That means that you will have to wait until someone else cancels and a spot opens up. If a spot does open up, you will be taken off the waitlist and notified via email ASAP. If you do not get off of the waitlist by the time the event comes, you will be refunded down to a dance pass. (You will not completely refunded - see refund schedule below under "Cancellations")
Please let us know if you do not plan on coming! Late cancellations often discourage people on the waitlist from coming who might have been able to get in.
If you need to cancel for any reason, just email us at info@uptownswing.net. No selling or swapping of passes is allowed. The following cancellation schedule applies to those on the waitlist as well.
Cancellation BEFORE May 1st = 100% refund
Cancellation BETWEEN May 1st and May 15th = 50% refund
Cancellation AFTER May 15th = No refunds
We are not offering housing for this event, but be sure to check in on the Facebook Event Page to connect up with local dancers to host you or to connect up with other dancers traveling who can share accommodations.
